![]() ![]() There are plenty of places to eat without ever having to leave the hotel. The flank steak quesadillas were fantastic! The hotel has several restaurants both in this main hotel and the sister hotel, JW Marriott right next door. The pool area has 2 bars, 1 in the pool and 1 nearby along with an outdoor pool restaurant. ![]() We still had a good view though and most rooms facing the ocean did. Our room had a nice view of the ocean but was partially obscured by a structure just below us. He gave us a luggage tag and later escorted us to our room, giving us all kinds of information about the room and area restaurants. He was very friendly and said he would take care of our luggage. We arrived and were quickly greeted by Jose at the front door. Situation is further up north along the hotel zone beaches.… The swell was heavy enough that beach swimming was out of the question anyway. Tractors are out there every morning trying in vain to rake away the huge clumps of seaweed. Don't be fooled by the company website pictures of pristine beach below the property those are certainly out of date. My room for some reason had a dislodged overhead A/C panel in the entrance hallway. Lots of staining in the marble bathroom floor. Plenty of AC outlets in the room but in places that made sense 20 years ago, like for a lamp. The bad news: - The rooms are small and the beds are concrete slabs rather than mattresses. ![]()
